Here’s a question most business owners can’t answer off the top of their head: how many Microsoft 365 licences are you paying for right now, and who’s actually using them?
It’s not a gap in anyone’s knowledge. It’s that the information has always lived somewhere awkward. To find out, you’d raise a ticket, we’d pull the numbers, and a day or two later you’d get an answer that was already slightly out of date.
We wanted to fix that, so we’ve built Microsoft 365 into the MyMidgard client portal.
What you can see today
Log into the portal and you’ll find a Microsoft 365 area covering three things:
- Your users. Everyone with a Microsoft 365 account on your tenancy, along with the licences each person holds. You can search and filter, so finding one person or everyone on a particular licence takes seconds.
- Your domains. The domains attached to your tenancy and whether each one is verified.
- Your licences. What your business holds, how many seats are assigned, and how many are spare. When a licence is fully used up, it says so clearly, so you can see where you’ve run out of headroom.
For a lot of businesses, that last point is the eye-opener. Licences quietly pile up as people come and go, and nobody’s had an easy way to catch the ones going to waste. Now you can.
Why it’s read-only for now
This first release is deliberately view-only. The data is synced from Microsoft 365, so what you see mirrors your live tenancy. We’ve started with visibility because getting that right, and safe, matters before we let anyone make changes.
What’s coming next
This is phase one of a bigger plan. Over the coming releases we’ll be adding the ability to:
- Assign and remove active licences on a user
- Buy new licences for your tenancy
- Create and manage mailboxes
All from the same portal, without a ticket.
